A Ritual of Nourshiment
44m
Life is full. Children, careers, aging parents, travel, uncertainty—there’s always something pulling at our attention. And in the midst of it all, it’s easy for our relationships to fall into the background, quietly starving for presence.
Without regular nourishment, we begin to feel disconnected and depleted. But when we intentionally create space to gift each other our full attention and care, we give the nervous system a chance to downshift—and the heart a chance to open.
In this 44-minute practice from The Art of Sacred Intimacy (Austin, 2025), John guides partners in a deeply restorative exchange: the offering and receiving of nourishment through touch, breath, and presence.
This practice is not just a moment of connection—it’s a ritual of prioritization. A way to anchor love in the chaos and tend to the roots of your relationship, so that it continues to deepen and thrive.
If you have a question about this practice or any of the content in The Embodied Relationship Experience, we highly encourage you to bring it to John during one of our monthly Office Hours calls that are included with your membership.
