Practice: Divine Presence Cultivating Consciousness Through Stillness and Breath
30m
Are you willing to let the world fall away — to dissolve distraction, time, and the need to do — and rest in the vastness of pure awareness? To touch the truth of who you are requires stillness. It requires breath. And a devotion to meeting life from the depth of your being.
In this 30-minute practice from the 1000-Hour Teacher Training (Mount Shasta, 2025), John guides you into the quiet center of consciousness — where love arises not from doing, but from being. As your breath slows and your awareness expands, you begin to feel the subtle pulse of sacred presence. From this space, transformation becomes possible. Truth becomes clear. And the person before you — whether your partner or your own reflection — becomes a mirror for the divine.
Let this be a practice of returning. To the source within you. To the stillness that births love. To the vast field of consciousness that can hold everything — without needing to change a thing.
Practice Set-Up:
With a partner: Sit across from your partner on a cushion or chair. Choose a posture that allows for both rootedness and openness — a strong spine and a soft heart.
Solo: Sit in front of a mirror, eye to eye with yourself. Let this be a devotional act of seeing — and being seen — from presence.
