Chi Generator with Russian Breath Practice
13m
You often feel drained, depleted, or exhausted. You may not be able to point to a single source or cause other than the fact that your energy feels stuck, tight, heavy, or stagnant. You want to find a way to move and clear this energy, but you don’t know how.
In this Chi Generator stance with Russian Breath, you will practice purifying three different points of awareness by using your breath: your skin, your auric field, and out into the space around you.
If you want to learn how to cleanse and purify your energy inside and out, try this 13-minute practice.
Begin standing in a wide stance Chi Generator with your spine long, knees folded comfortably, and your hands extended out in front of your heart with your open palms facing you. Activate and pull in your navel. Feel as if you are plunging your sacrum down into the earth.
If you would like a visual demonstration of the stance, you can find a basic instructional video of the Chi Generator practice here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sd2D912j_w8
Begin to breathe smoothly through your nose and exhale through pursed lips. Inhale only as deeply as you can without any strain. Relax on the exhales. Breathe into the very edges of your body, as if you are breathing into your skin. It is as if your entire body is breathing and your cells are breathing for you.
Lift the top of your heart to the sky. Allow your exhales to purify and cleanse anything that needs to be alleviated - fear, self-loathing, doubt, resentment - anything that is not the purest consciousness. Continue to stay grounded as you do this.
Then begin to expand your breath out 2-4 inches past your skin - to the very edges of your auric body. Purify and cleanse your auric body on the exhales, and anything that may have stuck to you.
Allow your inhales to effortlessly pull energy from the earth, up your spine, and into your body. Feel your sacrum plunging even deeper into the earth as you do this. Lift the top of your heart, your throat, your mind, your third eye, and your crown up to the sky.
As you do this, become aware of the part of you that is totally still and unchanging, doing absolutely nothing.
Then breathe 30 feet out into the space around you. Let your exhales purify and cleanse your environment. Allow your body to become an instrument of purification and focus on clearing your sphere. If you'd like, you can allow your exhale to include the entire city, town or county that you are in.
Then bring your hands wide above your head, opening your palms up to the sky. Make the crown of your head as wide as your hands, and pull in the fresh, clean air from the sky above you. Feel the earth holding and supporting you as you do this.
Then slowly wave your arms down to your sides. Bring your feet hip-width apart, so that you finish in a powerful stance. Lift your heart and solar plexus up to the sky. Then bow to the earth and the sky.
