Embodying the Nature You Are
33m
You are beginning to explore feminine practice, but you want to expand your range of expression. You understand that The Feminine encompasses much more than the capacity you are embodying right now, but you don’t know how to tap it all.
This feminine practice, led by Nicholette Routhier, Erin Kinney, and Ali Kegley Kole for the 2020 Embodied Women's Relationship Immersion, will take you on an embodied journey into the full range of the force of nature that you are.
The practice begins with connecting, receiving, and blending with the earth through guided movement inspired by the Continuum practices of Cass Phelps. Your body and breath will slow down to allow yourself to be moved by the earth, such that her pulse is your pulse, her breath is your breath, and her movement is your movement.
From here, you will tap into a remembering of yourself as nature in concert with the heartbeat of the earth. You will journey from becoming a tree, to a seed in the underbelly of the earth's crust, and to radiating out like the sun, touching all of life itself.
You will then finish by taking your exploration to the animal kingdom -- to the snakes, spiders and other forest floor-dwelling reptiles and insects; to the birds; and finally to the wild felines.
If you want to express the full range of the force of nature that you are, this 33-minute practice will help you to expand your capacity.
Prior to your practice, prepare a comfortable and private practice space that will allow you to relax and move your body freely with your eyes closed. Also prior to your practice, prepare a 30-minute playlist and set aside an uninterrupted period of time in which you can stay in practice the entire time. You will be guided to begin your music at the beginning of the recording, and then you will start either lying on the floor with one knee bent, so a foot is standing on the floor; on hands and knees; or standing.
