The Sacred Charge of Embodied Intimacy - Part 1
47m
Many of us aspire to be loving, devotional partners. We imagine opening our bodies and our hearts, cherishing, admiring, and even worshiping our beloved. This seems attainable when our partners are embodying love or consciousness, but what about when they are close-hearted or unconscious?
In this compilation of teaching sessions from the May 2018 Art of Fearless Intimacy Intensive at FlowSpace in Emeryville CA, John and Kendra Cunov claim that it is our responsibility to keep one another conscious and in our hearts. They refer to this as a "sacred charge."
The feminine responsibility is to practice the yoga of revealing the full range of energy and yearning in her heart from moment-to-moment in order to evoke his depth. The masculine responsibility is to lead her into a place in her heart where she can't lead herself. We do this out of generosity and the devotion to love. As David Deida said, "If you knew it would open the hearts of the people around you, would you do it anyway?"
