Walk of the Warrior King
9m 45s
Many men struggle to connect with their deep mission or purpose in life. They may feel an inkling of purpose, but are challenged with “walking the walk,” as it were, embodying it fully through every step of their life.
In this practice, you literally go on a walk as John guides you to embody the “Warrior King.”
Choose a place to walk that speaks to you—it might be a place in your neighborhood, a hike you love near your home, or a place that inspires you where you want to spend more time. Begin walking at a brisk pace, feeling your body fully. Notice the difference between walking with no apparent direction and walking as if you have a deep purpose—lifting your chest, tucking your chin, feeling your legs heavy and full, and feeling each step as it touches the ground.
Begin to imagine yourself as a King surveying his land and feel as if you are walking through a place that you own. As you walk, feel the traits and characteristics of your kingdom and the people of whom your purpose will serve - the families you will touch, the children you will serve, the men you will help prosper, the women you will help relax and grow. Walk as if you are carrying the beauty of their lives with you and let them inspire your walk.
Next, feel the boundaries of your kingdom. As these become clear, add warrior energy and fierceness to your walk as a King, so you are now walking as a Warrior King. Think about what you have to fully confront as a Warrior King responsible for many lives. What do you need to do in order to fully claim your kingdom?
Walk for as long as it feels good and allow your walk to fill your heart with purpose, nobility, mission, strength, kindness, and depth. With each step you take, you are more fully stepping into this incredible destiny as a Warrior King.
If you want to feel yourself claim purpose, fierceness, and devotion through your body, take a walk while experiencing this 10-minute practice.
