Hollow Bamboo Breath Practice
Deepen Your Sexual Connection

You may be craving a deeper sexual connection, in which pleasure, sexual energy, and orgasm don’t just stop at the genitals. You would like to open this potential into your lovemaking, but you don’t know where to start.
This solo breath practice led by John at the September 2019 Embodied Women's Weekend Intensive in New York, opens the central channel of your body that connects your throat, heart, solar plexus, and cervix or perineum. This is the channel where the deepest sex happens, so it is a good practice to do before lovemaking.
While seated, rock the base of your body slightly until the center of your perineum rests directly on the chair or cushion. You will continue this rocking motion during the breath practice, massaging your perineum into the chair or cushion as you inhale and exhale through the mouth; breathing down to the base of your body and stimulating your genitals. Find a rhythm and then soften your throat, heart, and hips. After several minutes of this, inhale and hold the breath, and then exhale, squeeze your pelvic floor, and hold the breath once again before relaxing the practice and releasing to a normal breath.
If you would like to cultivate a deeper sexual connection with yourself that can inspire your lovemaking, this 8-minute practice is a beautiful place to begin.
