Responding to the Call of the Moment
Expand Your Capacity for Love

Every moment calls us to meet it in a unique way, inviting us to respond from the depth of our presence. We have an infinite capacity to sense, attune, and shape the energy of each moment. Perhaps your partner feels ungrounded or unsettled—can you feel into their heart and bring the grounding power of love? As one moment dissolves, another emerges. Are you willing to bring your devotion through every cell of your body, elevating the moment and those within it?
In this practice from The Art of Sacred Intimacy, Cascais, Portugal, 2024, John guides participants in a partner practice to feel deeply into each unfolding moment and respond from the impulse of the heart. This practice trains us to sense what love is asking for and to respond from that place of pure, embodied awareness.
The ability to feel and answer the needs of each moment is a direct expression of love’s depth. It requires sensitivity, a willingness to show up, and an attunement to those around us. When we respond to life’s call with an open heart, our presence has the power to create change and liberation.
If you are practicing at home with a partner, take a moment to close your eyes between each practice segment, reset, and begin again. Let your response come from the stillness of love and watch how this dedication transforms the space around you.
If you have a question about this practice, or any of the content in The Embodied Relationship Experience, we highly encourage you to bring it to John during one of our monthly Office Hours calls that are included with your membership. You can find the dates and times of the upcoming calls here:
