Celebrating The Vibration of Love
For The Feminine : Practices

You are a woman who has been practicing feminine embodiment for some time and you’re ready to deepen even more. Perhaps you love the possibility of being able to seemlessly move from however you’re feeling in any moment to a sacred expression of the pulse of love that moves through us all. You want to cultivate more energetic agility in how you feel and express love through your body, but you are unsure which practice would help you get there.
This is a two-part practice Nicholette Routhier originally led for women of the Art of Spiritual Intimacy online immersion in December 2020. In the first part, you will practice bringing energy to the moment as a gift—in this case, the energy of "Celebration"—while also honoring however you are feeling right now. In the second part, you will become aware of, and respond to, the vibration of love that is always moving through you, in a seated meditation. This practice asks you to move from the expansive expression of “Celebration” to the quiet, subtle practice of feeling the pulse of love in a deep way, which is excellent for cultivating energetic agility.
If you want to expand your capacity to feel, move and express as love, this 16-minute practice will help.
Begin with whatever you are feeling in this moment, and from that place, bring in the energy of celebration. Feed celebration into whatever you are feeling right now (joy, fear, grief, resistance, etc.) and notice how it moves through your body. Then for 5 minutes, allow the energy of celebration to move you. Perhaps you bounce in your knees, jump up and down, or sway from side to side. Bring in some sounds. Fill your entire room with the energy of celebration.
Notice when you start to drop it, and intentionally feed in that energy of celebration throughout your body. Fill your heart with celebration. Fill your hips with celebration - your hips have a lot of energy! Keep moving. If you find yourself doing the same movements again and again, move your body in asymmetrical shapes.
After 5 minutes, come to standing in stillness, but do not shake off the energy you just cultivated. Allow that energy to continue to flow through your body as you come to a seated position with your eyes closed.
Let your breath breathe you exactly as it is. Don't feel as if you have to "catch it." Concentrate all of the energy into the central column of your body - along the front of your spine, from root to crown - like a star that is about to supernova. Begin to deepen your breath. Contain the flow of energy while still feeling the pulse, the vibration of love that is always flowing through you.
Then bring your attention to your heart. Breathe into your heart, and that breath will create more space for the vibration of love in your heart. Notice if your body wants to respond - if there is movement that wants to happen in order to create that space. This is not movement like "dancing," but rather, a slight adjustment to open more space for the flow of love. For example, perhaps your shoulders gently relax back. It's a very subtle invitation.
As you do this, relax all of your energy back towards your spine. It is not a physical movement, but an energetic movement. You are softening the entire front body, especially the front of your heart, and bringing your energy to the back of your heart. Continue to bring your attention to the pulse, the vibration of love in your heart. If a sound wants to come out, let it, but only if it feels true. Release any pressure to perform or show up a particular way.
Listen and respond to the subtle invitation of the pulse of love that is always there, like how the waves are always rolling in the ocean. Perhaps as you are feeling this vibration, you may feel an emotion or another sensation. Allow that emotion to flow. Perhaps tears roll down your cheeks. Allow whatever is true to be here right now.
Begin to drop your awareness down to your cervix, or the area of the womb, so that you can feel the vibration of love that is there. Notice how your body responds by bringing your attention down to that space. Maybe you take a deeper breath. Maybe your inner thighs soften a little bit. There is a pulse of movement, a pulse of energy, that subtly responds to the vibration of love in that place.
Now begin to connect cervix to heart, womb to heart, as if the pulse initiates in your cervix and then ripples up to your heart. Again, there might be a subtle movement in response to that impulse, a shift in your breath, a sound, or a sensation, feeling or emotion.
Then feel the pulse initiating in your cervix and rippling all the way up through your heart and into your throat—through your entire central column, the core of your body. The front of your body is soft and open. The subtle vibration is like a waterfall rippling up and then it flows out through the movement of your body. It begins in the base of your body, and then comes all the way up through your cervix, heart, and throat, and then expresses through a sound, breath, or movement.
For the final piece of the practice, open your eyes and gaze out at something in your space, so now this pulse will move from cervix, to heart, to throat, and then out through your eyes. You are not projecting forward. You are still softening and relaxing back, and your eyes are revealing that vibration. It may express through a subtle movement, a sound, a breath, or an emotion.
For the final minute, feel this ever-flowing vibration of love, the very core of love that you are, that is ever-present, ever-evolving. Then offer yourself a bow to close this practice; a gesture of gratitude to the love that you are.
Note: During the practice, Nicholette guided the women joining her live online to bring energy to one another on camera. You can do this by blasting energy out to your family, loved ones, or even people on the street.
