Community Practice: Changing Karmic Patterns

In this video, from the April 13th Community Practice Call, John guides a practice to change a karmic pattern through your body by identifying and embodying a habitual reaction and then opening as the deeper expression of what wants to move through you.
You'll learn:
- the habits of your body-mind, the ways you relate, and the ways you interact with the world are the manifestations of karma
- we all have karmic patterns - they show up in how we choose partners, our level of trust, etc. We have good karmic patterns too.
- when we talk about changing a karmic pattern, we're talking about the moment you choose a different reaction from the one you habitually have done - i.e. a habitual closure, tension, or reactivity without heart
- in the new reaction, we're feeling beneath the momentum of our habitual reactivity to make a more loving, conscious choice
- beneath our habitual reactions there is energy, love and consciousness waiting to be tapped into
- doing this requires practice—embodied exercises to bring more conscious awareness, and depth of feeling & expression
- practice could include taking a different shape of your body, meditation, or grounding
- you have more choice in the moment from the foundation of grounding
- a few ways to create healthy boundaries and have healthy dialogues to create a culture of truth in your relationship
- a few ways to use your body from the truth of your heart to lovingly shift the karmic patterns in your relationship
- how you can create a conscious sacred healthy masculine container for deep grief
- two ways to make grieving a meditation - 1. feel consciousness wrapping you while you're wailing; 2. go deep into the sensation, into the current of life underneath the sensation, with no thought
- the difference between revealing your hot mess and a collapse
- how you can open an expression wide vs project it forward
- you can open by narrating what's true in your heart as an intermediate step to revealing through your body
- how you can use your body and your play to alleviate a moment of closure in your partner through love, rather than make them wrong and remove love
